Numana is 12 kilometres far from our holiday farm: a coastal town that retains its maritime origins in its upper area, where a dense network of narrow streets embraces the colourful fishermen’s houses and opens onto a wide panoramic viewpoint overlooking the sea. A ledge with a unique view that covers the entire coast of the Conero Riviera. From the town centre you can descend towards the port through the ancient path composed by big steps, the Costarella, which the fishermen travelled along every morning at dawn. There is the lower part of Numana, the most modern and lively one, full of bars, clubs and beach resorts.
Awarded with the Blue Flag 2018, it offers wonderful beaches and crystal clear waters. The history of Numana begins in ancient times: during the Neolithic period there were already human settlements. Evidence of this ancient past is preserved in the State Antiquarium, the archaeological museum where valuable archeologic evidence is exhibited. The traditions of this city are often linked to the miraculous Crucifix Christ, which is preserved in the Sanctuary of the same name. According to the tradition, it was created from those who laid the body of Christ from the cross. In any case, beyond the legend, the Crucifix remains a work of notable artistic and historic value with its Byzantine style resembling aspect.

In just 5 minutes, only 3 kilometres far from our holiday farm, you can reach Camerano: a village set among the hills of the Conero Riviera. Camerano is the town of underground wonders: the Underground City of Camerano is, in fact, is excavated in the sandstone and runs through the subsoil of the historic centre in a labyrinth-like path. For a long time the numerous tunnels were considered to be the rests of ancient sandy mines or spaces where wine was conserved. The explorations, the further interpretations given and the touristic paths have however unveiled the presence of architectural embellishments, bas reliefs and decorative elements that could hardly suit sandy mines or deposit spaces: vaults, circular rooms, columns with architectural taste, frieze decorations, ornamental motifs and religious symbols are the peculiarity of the whole path. Camerano is the birthplace of Rosso Conero, which you can taste at its best here. The Rosso Conero Celebration takes place every year, on the first week of September: food and drink stands, street performances and wine tastings far into the night.

Starting from our facility, with just 12 minutes, you can reach Ancona, the regional capital, located on the central Adriatic coast on a promontory formed by the northern slopes of Monte Conero. This promontory gives rise to the gulf of Ancona, in whose innermost part is the natural harbor. The city has several beaches: among the first, the most central is that of the Passetto, with large white rocks, including the Seggiola del Papa and the Scoglio del Quadrato, very characteristic places. Rocky beaches follow one another towards the South; among them is the Mezzavalle beach. The most famous beach south of Ancona is Portonovo (Blue Flag 2017) characterized by gravelly and stony tracts, with very white and rounded limestone pebbles, considered one of the peculiarities of the town. The presence of the woods directly in contact with the beach, together with the open views towards the majestic mass of Conero, constitute a great attraction of the area. The most representative monument of the city of Ancona is the Cathedral of San Ciriaco, a splendid Romanesque-Gothic basilica, with Byzantine elements, built on the foundations of an Italic temple from the 4th century BC and a later early Christian church.Among the sites of tourist interest we highlight: the Church of Santa Maria della Piazza, a masterpiece of Romanesque art, characteristic for its arched façade and for the symbolic figures carved around the portal; the Arch of Trajan, a Roman Arch erected in the first century A.D; the Church of San Francesco alle Scale, with the beautiful façade in Venetian flowery Gothic style, the Mole Vanvitelliana, a splendid artificial island with a pentagonal plan inside the port, built to a design by the papal architect Luigi Vanvitelli; the Loggia dei Mercanti, the most important secular building, in Venetian flowery Gothic style; the evocative Fontana del Calamo or the Tredici Cannelle, whose antiquity is attested by the name, of clear Greek derivation, which recalls the marshy environment in which it stood. The National Archaeological Museum of the Marche, documents the prehistory and early history of the Marche region, while the Omero Tactile Museum, one of the few in the world, and the only one in Italy, also allows blind people to approach the art by touching plaster casts life-size of famous sculptures, architectural models of famous monuments, but also archaeological finds and original sculptures by contemporary artists.

Sirolo, which is only 11 km from our Agriturismo, is a characteristic medieval village between the green of Monte Conero and the blue of the sea. It is considered "the pearl of the Adriatic", a precious treasure chest of art set in a breathtaking landscape. Awarded with the European Blue Flag, it offers wild beaches, steep cliffs, caves, white rocks covered with pine forests that overlook transparent and deep waters. The inhabitants, around 3,200, respectful custodians of the traditions and historical-natural values of their territory, have long welcomed tourists with a series of valid initiatives, including the seasons of the two theaters: the historic Cortesi and the suggestive open-air theater "Alle Cave". The symbol of the country is the sea bass: a fish that populates the clear waters.
